Horizon Hobby has an immediate full time opening for an experienced Business Analyst (BA). Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage development projects.
  • Define business and functional requirements on behalf of the business which will be utilized by systems analysts for system enhancements and/or modifications.
  • Work closely with business users to understand their business needs and opportunities for the use of technology to improve their processes and help them meet their business objectives. Understand the applications supporting the users, their capabilities and limitations.
  • Develop an excellent working relationship with business users, providing very customer focused and responsive support to their business needs. Acts as liaison between systems software development staff, management, and system end-users to determine requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for necessary systems modifications to satisfy business needs. Work with IT to determine best technical solution to achieve objectives.
  • Work with QA and technical teams to develop test scripts based on functional specifications and participate in testing of systems enhancements and modifications.



    Qualifications/Experience:

    Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, MIS, Computer Science or similar field.
  • 3-5 years in a business analyst or project manager role.
  • 3-5 years experience defining requirements for enterprise documentation.

    This position is focused on developing new electronic components for both rotary- and fixed-wing radio-controlled model aircraft. Typical projects will be items such as single-axis MEMS-based gyroscopes, multi-axis flight stabilization systems, electronic speed controllers, and other similar devices.

    The EE will be responsible to manage all aspects of development, including hardware and software development and troubleshooting. Hardware development will likely be managed by directing others.

    The EE need not be a circuit design expert, but should have enough understanding to skillfully guide others through appropriate requirements. The EE should be comfortable programming in C/embedded software and be able to code his own software. Prior work experience with controls engineering preferred.

    Qualifications/Experience:
